Light in the Deep

By the time I finished reading the article on the beauty, I was despondent, contemplating my physical flaws and the limits they impose in me. Then I turned the page and stared at the underwater photography of him and I realized the irony. The ultimate price of our obsession with personal appearance may be the way it can blind us to the real abundance of beauty in the world. I’ve been reading the magazine all my life.

Across the magnificent chaos of subjects and places, there is a line of work that has made a tremendous impact in my life. When I always browse through it  just to get a first impression. My procedure has not varied for more than 20 years. When I flipped through the January issue, my yes rested on the most beautiful pictures I have ever seen. My first thought was him.
